Reduction of Mutual Coupling Losses for Dual-frequency Patch Antennas Using Modified Microstrip I-Section
Abstract
Abstract
In this paper, a compact design using modified “I” shaped microstrip section between dual frequency patch antenna array to reduce mutual coupling is presented. Problem of performance degradation of an antenna has to be faced because of mutual coupling. The results of simulation show that coupling reduced from –11.3 to –7.91 dB at 2.40 GHz and from –18.3 to –14.70 dB at 4.5 GHz. Description of antenna design and results are proposed in this paper.
