Study on factors of Waste Minimization Strategies in Construction Projects towards achieving Sustainability

Poornima Devi Shiyam Sundar

Abstract

There is a great impact on Environmental, Economic and Social Sustainability due to the waste generated from Construction Industry. Hence a study is done to identify the waste minimization strategies to minimize the construction waste and to achieve sustainability of the nation. A Questionnaire was designed from the literature review and the Questionnaire was distributed to construction professionals belonging to Indian Construction Industry. The data collected were analyzed using Statistical Package for Social Sciences IBM SPSS Version 23.0 and MS Excel. Descriptive Statistical analysis technique was used and the most significant factors of waste minimization strategies and sustainability factors were found out.
