Material Handling Device with Multiple DOF

Abstract


This paper describes the design as well as analysis of a Material handling device having multiple DOF. Conventionally, there is a various material handling device which performs a specific operation like either up and down motion or planer (linear) motion to handle or transfer the material from one location to another location. But the design described in the paper is developed keeping in mind that mechanism will allow motion with more degree of freedom like up and down motion, TO and FRO motion with 360° rotation. Also, such design can make the mechanism more compact and much suitable for medium scale work. Finally, the analysis is also carried out in order to check the compatibility of the design values.
