Abstract

Abstract

Contamination is the expansion of any substance or any type of vitality to nature at a rate quicker than it very well may be scattered, weakened, deteriorated, reused, or put away in some innocuous structure. Pollution has become a crucial problem for busy cities all around the world. There are many types of pollution among them: air pollution, water pollution, soil pollution, food pollution, noise pollution, light pollution, thermal pollution etc. are getting attention from environmentalist across the world. Air pollution is the most important one among them as we inhale air to live every instant. Breathing polluted air causes major diseases like asthma, cancer, bronchitis, birth defects, immune system disorder, etc. Therefore, real-time monitoring of air quality is crucial from survival point. By generating mapping of air pollution in different area, we can take preventive action as well as we can avoid those areas too. In this research, we design and tested a low-cost air quality monitoring system to avail in every household economically by spending around Taka 1200 per unit whereas the existing devices cost around Taka 5000 per unit. This system will give the indication of the air quality in real-time. The parameters that the system monitors in real-time are: CO, CO2, liquefied-petroleum gases, humidity and temperature. It also let us know sea-level height and the atmospheric pressure too.
