Abstract

Abstract

Creating an electronic voting infrastructure that meets law makers legal requirements has been a longstanding challenge. Broadly, this paper explores the blockchain technology through a case study summary, namely the election process and the implementation of a blockchain-based application that enhances security and reduces the cost of hosting a national election. This paper aims to find a solution to the current existing problems in the election procedure. This paper is about the study that is carried out on the blockchain and the software that is made in order to solve the current existing problems that lead to fraud during any election. The portal that has been designed not only keeps track of the security but also it provides a cost effective means for voting. The main aim of this paper is to build a smart electronic voting portal and make it more secure using blockchains since it has the potential to prevent security gaps by serving as a decentralized transaction log.
