Water Quality Testing on River Ganga

Abstract


Abstract The Ganges (or Ganga) is considered as one of the major holy river to the Hindu society and is a life preserver to those several peoples who lives nearby to its courses and banks. In Hinduism, the river is worshipped as Goddess Ganga. Even though about 550 million peoples depends on this river itself for their life, then also Ganga remains one the major polluted river in the entire world. The following review will be discussing the various water quality tests conducted on the river Ganga and also the findings in detail. Through this, it is concluded that among many places the differences are not bold to any particular trend. Even it is a big alarm that the pollutants in the river Ganga are increasing year by year; the level of the pollution is on rise and could raise several serious conditions in the upcoming future.
