Abstract

Abstract

Solar energy is the most abundant inexhaustible and clean of all renewable energy resources. The power from the sun intercepted by the earth is in MW, which is many times larger than the present rate of all energy consumption. The problem of water scarcity observed in the various places due to lack of rainfall can be overcome by solar-powered atmospheric water generator. The solar powered atmospheric water generator is a device that can collect water from the atmospheric air. In highly humid areas water can be obtained by condensing the water vapor present in the air. The equipment can be powered by solar energy stored in battery system that can convert into AC using inverter. The water generator system based on the solar energy consists of cooling elements, air circulators and solar cell panel unit with a relevant high current output drive. The objective of this paper is to demonstrate the economic atmospheric water generator especially for rural areas which yields sustainable water system from the atmospheric air.

Keywords: Atmospheric air, air circulators, cooling elements, inverters, solar cell.
