Abstract

Today India is rapid developing country. Industries are playing a major role in country development. According to environmental concern, the waste products must be treated. But the treatment process is little costly. So to reduce the cost of the investment industries are releasing a lot of refuse which with less treating, which affects the environmental as well as the properties of the soil. The physiochemical parameters such as PH, electrical conductivity, COD, BOD, total alkalinity tests were conducted and mentioned in this study. Limited soil tests are conducted on the soil samples, to check the effect of effluent on soil parameters. Soil samples are tested by mixing with tap water and effluent from dairy, jewellery making released directly into soil with proportions of 5%, 10% and 15%. By conducting all these tests, the change of soil properties can be concluded from this study.
