Abstract

This paper deals with the study of Battery management system (BMS) and its applications. The design of various Battery Management unit for various applications is discussed here. Various ways of recharging the battery and protecting it from operating it from unsafe area is discussed in this study. The ways of protecting the batteries from various critical damages are also discussed here. The thermal aspects of the BMS is discussed here. The algorithms required to measure the status of the battery and state of the art techniques in the protection of the battery from danger is also studied here.

Keywords: Battery management system, critical damage, unsafe area, art techniques, algorithms, recharging
