Abstract

Abstract

In this paper, author proposed a Wi-Fi shaped microstrip antenna for the RF energy harvesting applications. The proposed antenna is operating at the frequencies 0.9, 1.7, 1.9 & 2.4 GHz. The antenna radiates at the quad-band frequency having an application in GSM Band and Wi-Fi Bands. The antenna consists of four different strips which correspond to each frequency in the result. The co-axial probe is connected from the side of the antenna including a slab on which all the four strips are attached along the feed line. Each strip corresponds to each frequency. The directivity of an antenna is 2.434 dBi, 4.261 dBi, 3.204 dBi & 4.732 dBi respectively at the frequencies 0.9, 1.7, 1.9 & 2.4 GHz. The measured output power is 693 mV across the rectifier. The power radiated across the circuit is 0.148 W/cm2.
