Patch Antenna by using Tunable Metamaterial for Dual Band Application

Abstract

In this paper, a novel compact microstrip antenna, designed on FR4 substrate, is proposed. Here, a compact Square patch antenna is designed in such a way that a layer of metal between the patch load and the radiating patch moreover, the ground which makes the antenna operate at a lower frequency and antenna at 2.418 GHz with the directivity and gain is 6.58 6dB and 2.935dB. The Tunable metamaterial is loaded over the antenna with an operating frequency of antenna with metamaterial is 2.655 and 2.802 GHz.
