Abstract

Abstract

This paper, reviews about the working and performance of Organic Rankine cycle with different heat sources. There are various sources of heat are available, from the range of low temperature to very high temperature. The source of this heat is of many types such as various types of engines, chemical industries, machines and various processes. This cycle allows re-cycling the waste heat from various sources is converted into useful work and later used as electricity. Essentially Organic Rankine Cycle (ORC) is a very economic and pollution free cycle and gives pollution free and clean energy. Recovery of heat from waste is very important field of development for Organic Rankine Cycle. And basically, it can be applied to the low temperature sources. The working and performance of organic Rankine cycle with various operations and working fluids is studied in this review.

Keywords: low temperature sources, waste heat, pollution free cycle, clean energy
