Abstract

Abstract

Humans build homes and buildings for protecting themselves from the natural consequences of environment, but it also led to impact the environment in so many ways. For the construction of the building, many trees are cut down for creating a space for different infrastructures. The usage of wood from the trees for the manufacturing of furniture as well as daily needs of the humans leads to the deforestation that has a severe impact on the environment. The main goal of green building is to create a healthy environment by the usage of natural resources. The construction of the buildings should be done in such a way that it does not harm the human health as well as environment. The designing of green building plays an important role in the construction. The performance of every building has a different effect on the environment, and their life cycle differs in the environment as well. Energy efficiency includes the uses of renewable power resources such as sunlight. Solar energy is one of the most cost-effective energy. One of the most important things that are used in construction of the buildings is materials. For constructing a building with higher strength, the properties of materials like physical, chemical as well as mechanical should be evaluated and the structure must be designed properly. Many studies have been suggested that green buildings are superior to conventional buildings when it comes to attain the higher level of indoor environmental quality. Thus, it may lead to improve the productivity as well as health of the inhabitants.
