A Circular Slot Loaded H-Shaped Printed Microstrip Patch Antenna for Lower Band 5G Applications

Abstract


Abstract: A circular slot loaded H-Shape patch antenna is introduced in this paper. A circular slot loaded H-Shape patch antenna is fed with coplanar wave guide (CPW) is discussed which is applicable for lower band 5G applications. The radiation pattern is omni-directional which is very near to H-plane. The area of ground plane is 80×101×1.5 mm3 with substrate material having dielectric constant 2.2 and loss tangent 0.002 is used. The simulated result show that the design of H-shaped circular slot antenna covers with wide band application from 3.63 GHz to 6.55 GHz and total bandwidth is achieved 57.36% with less than -10 dB reflection coefficient. The distinctive of propose antenna has been investigated using software HFSS.
