Abstract

Abstract

This study presents a design of an Automated Toll Collection System used for collecting tax automatically based on RFID Technology. The identification of vehicles with insufficient balance is done with the help of radiofrequency using the RFID tag which is simply the unique identification number provided by governing authority. This number module contains all the basic information as well as the information related to the amount paid for the TOLL collection. An appropriate amount is deducted from the registered account automatically. In case if one has insufficient balance, his updated balance will be negative. This is an alarming system is used which alert the authority that this vehicle does not have sufficient balance and particular vehicle can be identified; this approach is quite user-friendly and time saving, less fuel consumption and also contributing in saving of money.
