Abstract

In this study, an experimental investigation has been carried out to develop a model for mass transfer correlation. As a part of that experimental data obtained in terms of limiting current values and the data was measured for various flow rates using spiral tape wound on a rod promoters of varying geometric parameters. The geometric parameters are height (H), width (W) and the pitch (P). The experiment carried out for a total of 48 promoters and the limiting current data obtained for 4800 local limiting currents and 240 pressure drop measurements. The spiral tape wound of rod with geometric parameters 0.07 m height, 0.04 m width and 0.04 m pitch given maximum augmentation of 15 fold compared to the empty column without promoter.
