Performance based seismic design of reinforced concrete asymmetrical building

Nikita Daulat Nangre, S.B. Shinde, A.S. Baheti

Abstract

The nonlinear static analysis of asymmetrical G+20 reinforced concrete building is carried out using design tool. Nowadays, in most of the RCC framed buildings irregularities are commonly observed. Buildings needing simple regular geometry suffer much less damage than buildings with irregular configuration. The poor performance and structural damages in an irregular building type of structures during the frequent earthquakes increased the need to determine and evaluate the damages in the structure. In present paper, a multi storied building (G+20) is analyzed. The same building is then modeled in design tool to carry out pushover analysis. The capacity spectrum, demand spectrum and performance point of the building was found.
