Abstract

In this paper, we show how the Internet of Things (IoT) may be effectively used in conventional agriculture. The number and quality of agricultural goods are both increased by this new approach. This study utilized the Internet of Things (IoT) with the help of a few sensors, including a soil moisture sensor to determine the amount of moisture in the soil, a temperature and humidity sensor to monitor changes in the ambient temperature, and a rain drop sensor to determine whether it is raining or not. There is a Wi-Fi module attached to these sensors (Node MCU). The gathered information will be put online in the cloud. A cloud-based IOT service called Blynk was created. Data was real-time presented on mobile devices after being saved in the Blynk. The study's findings demonstrate how combining IOT with a variety of sensors improves the smart farming prototype. Additionally, this was successful in achieving its goals of consuming less water, using fewer resources, and being more affordable.
