Advances in Hand Gesture Recognition for Interactive Media Player Control: A Review
Abstract
People want fast replies from complicated systems in today's fast-paced world, highlighting the significance of speedy interaction. As technology develops, issues with responsiveness and ease of use become more important. The study of human-computer interaction, which goes beyond conventional input devices like keyboards and mouse, is relevant in this situation. Much focus is paid to touch recognition, which is a common and natural method of interaction. The fusion of computer and touch communication creates new avenues for interaction. The study describes a low-cost solution that uses hand gesture detection to operate the VLC video player, increasing productivity and enabling users to conveniently operate their laptops and desktop computers from a distance. The frequently utilised VLC features that are triggered by preset touches are highlighted. Human-Computer Interaction (HCI) offers us a solution by studying the design and application of computer technology, which incorporates the use of human gestures, which comprise a space of motion expressed by the body, face, and/or hands.
