Abstract

Abstract
Drying process has an important role in the preservation of agriculture products. It is defined as a process of moisture removal due to heat and mass transfer. A solar dryer has been designed under the climatic condition of Indore region (Latitude 22.44N and Longitude 75.5 E) of Madhya Pradesh, India. A solar dryer consists of inverted absorber dryer with glass cover and one blower operated by photovoltaic module. The experimental results show the quality difference of product with variable blower speed and reduction of drying time of product. Solar drying experiment of inverted absorber solar dryer was designed and manufactured. The dryer could be used for red chilli. The dryer could be used for red chilli for removing 78 to 4% moisture content within 26 h.
