Abstract

At Present, the air quality index has fallen a lot due to the rapid growth of Industries in the city, but these activities also trigger environmental problems. In the present time there are several problems facing environmental effect one of them is air pollution. World Health Organization reported that, In India there are number of polluted cities, approximetly 14 to 15 cities has worst report  in the list are Indians, which has been declared badly affected due to air pollution, and one of  them is Kanpur. From the last some years it has ben observed that  the industrial sectors are much responsible for polluting the city aginst population. Particulate matter is the major contributor of air pollution is in the form of  dust and soot accounting for around 75%, 16% has been contributed by biomass burning and about 8-9% by emissions from vehicle sources, But in the case of summer season, the contribution of particulate matter generelly found to 36% with equal contribution from vehicles emissions.

In this study is that it uses data from different areas in moderate season. From the data 20–80% part of the area found more polluted mostly during winter months. This shows that the presence of pollutants in the winter season with toxic materials in the atmosphere which affect the rain and environment. The presence of the pollutants in air causes harmful diseases linked to the cardiovascular system, respiratory systems, nervous system, premature birth, mortality, and most of cases illness and irritation. Various efforts have been initiated by the Peoples and Institutions to control the increasing level of pollution, like reduce pollutions from vehicles by less use or common use, planting more trees and promoting electric transport. Although these efforts are in process but, the Air Quality Index of the city has recorded much below the standard average. In this paper, the measure focuses on the causes, sources, impacts, and outcomes that have been studied thus far. belongs to air pollution levels in the kanpur city from the available data and literature from kinds of ways.
