Abstract

This paper is an introduction to our project which aims to develop a Driver Safety Assistant (DSA) system using an in-vehicle video camera. It is a real-time capturing system which uses vision sensors to detect passengers and/or driver’s tiredness conditions [1]. The system assesses the ability of conducting safe driving and notifies the driver for any hazardous or dangerous situation. Moreover, safety actions to be performed by the embedded vehicle controlling system.
