Abstract

Augmented Reality (AR) is an interactive experience of a real-world environment which is the integration of digital information with the user’s environment in real-time. Unlike virtual reality (VR), which generates a completely artificial environment, AR utilizes the current environment and additionally overlays fresh data. The ultimate objective here is to design a navigation app which uses the features of AR and VR in an effective manner to the travelers. Most existing apps include the features of virtual reality than augmented reality. The project aims at evaluating the existing navigation apps Google Maps and View Ranger and proposes a design an app that will resolve all the disadvantages of these apps, i.e., Find ‘N’ Ping. This app will save time and cost of travelling. It acts as a travel guide for the explorers out there. It includes the features of social media networking and travelling apps.
