The main aim of that paper is design of pressure vessel as a storage tank. Design and calculation considering as per ASME (American Society of Mechanical Engineering) standard code. Internal design pressure of vessel 3.6 MPa that pressure more than 100 psi pressure so all calculation considering ASME section VIII, division 2. Vessel internal radii 650 mm and calculated thickness 22 mm. analysis of vessel operating pressure 2 MPa at 70°C, deformation 0.45 mm and average stress 55 MPa. Optimize thickness 14 mm those analysis result deformation is 0.8 mm and stress generated 125 MPa in this case factor of safety less than 4 is not desirable. Overcome that problem introduced to stiffener rings.References
