The present work is to explore the affect of turning parameters, speed, feed and depth of cut on the multiple performances of Material Removal Rate and Surface Roughness characteristics. AA7075 is considered as the work piece as it has extensive applications in the field of aerospace and marine sectors. The experiments are carried out using tungsten carbide tool of 0.4 nose radius and as per the standard Taguchi’s L9 Orthogonal array. A multi objective optimization method called Taguchi’s total quality loss and ANOVA are used for analyzing the multiple responses. From the results the optimal combination of control parameters for achieving the minimum combined quality loss is found at 2000 rpm, 0.2 mm/rev and 1 mm respectively.Downloads
