Abstract

The main objective of this paper is to describe the different operations that can be performed to improve the quality and reduce the quantity of defect in product by six sigma method. As we all know that today, the main objective of the companies to satisfy the customers by providing them good quality product. As now days, there is large amount of competition in global market among different companies, so, that’s why it’s very important to create or develop a good image in global market among customers [1]. Every company tries to increase profit margin by reducing manufacturing cost or some other factors, but due to the production of defective products or poor quality products, the decrease in profit margin takes place. So, to improve the profit margin and quality, six sigma method is used by using DMAIC (Design, measure, analysis, improve and control) methodology. DMAIC methodology is a problem solving technique where process data is analyzed from different tools and identify the problems which cause the defects produced in the product. Throughout the amount and analyses stages of the project, data were composed and these data were deliberated through numerous graphical and statistical examines.
