A Review on Water Level Monitoring System

Water stored up beneath the Earth’s surface is called the groundwater. It is present in soil pore spaces and in the fractures of rock formations. Groundwater constitutes of soil moisture, permafrost, immobile water, and deep geothermal or oil formation water. Groundwater forms the most important water source in countries like India. About 85% of drinking water in India is from groundwater and 51% of the total population in the United States uses groundwater. Groundwater is cheaper, more convenient, and less vulnerable to pollution than surface water. This study discusses the various methods of monitoring the groundwater level.
