Abstract

Abstract This paper presents a model of multilevel parking system with the automatic process using a programmable logic controller (PLC). The aim of this work is to mitigate the problems associated with general multilevel parking system by using PLC and advanced engineering concepts. PLC is a modern digital computer that has advanced features over microcontroller. In this project work, a model of three-floor parking system is presented with advanced control strategies and energy efficient technologies. The advanced control strategy used in this model plays a vital role in organizing the entry to and exit from the parking lots. It additionally introduces the plan of multi-level parking garages which possess less need on the ground and contains the vast number of vehicles. In the modern world, where parking space is a big issue, it has become very important to avoid the wastage of space in traditional automatic multilevel car parking systems.
