Student Attendance Monitoring System with GSM Technology

Abstract


Due to a hectic and busy schedule, it becomes difficult for parents to keep a regular update on their children’s punctuality in their respective colleges. The same problem is faced by college’s administrative authority to present a report on each and every student’s performance record to the respective parents. This project’s aim is to improve on the solution for this particular problem with the use of GSM SMS; this system makes it easier for both, the parents and administration to exchange student’s attendance record in a cost efficient and effective manner. We are using the architecture of ARM7, and its LPC2148 microcontroller. This consists of RFID module as the transmitting section, and GSM mobile-phone as the receiver.
