Secured and Smart Rationing for Public Distribution System Using RFID and GSM
Abstract
The paper deals with the automatic rationing for public distribution system. Nowadays most of the people having a ration card to buy the materials from the ration shops. They will issue the materials through weighting system with the help of humans. But in this system having two draw backs, first one is weight of the material may be inaccurate due to human mistakes and secondly, if not buy the materials at the end of the month, they will sale to others without any intimation to the government and customers. To overcome this problem RFID technology is proposed instead of ration cards. The Smart Rationing Materials Distribution is based on RFID (Radio Frequency Identification). To get the materials in ration shops, customer needs to show the RFID tag into the RFID reader, which will ask for a valid password. After authentication the controller check the customer codes and details of amounts in the card and the system will show the amount details. Then the customer needs to enter the required materials using a keyboard, if authenticated then it will deliver the materials. After receiving materials controller send the information to government office and customer through GSM technology. This system provides the materials automatically without the help of humans.
