Online Monitoring of Energy Metres And Load Control Using IOT

Kunal Pandey, Pushpendra Pandey, Rachit Srivastava

Abstract

In this paper, online monitoring of energy meter and load control based on the internet of things (IoT) has been developed to optimize energy consumption and reduces human labour. Since E-meters, or electronic meters, have recently played a significant part in the development of cost- and power-effective systems. It has a highly effective and productive programmed meter reading architecture in the far future (AMRS). The purpose of this essay is to plan an easy process system for reading energy meters that is IoT-based and includes fault detection. Appliances are turned off automatically for the user's convenience to reduce power usage. The user receives a notification if there is a problem with the e-meter. Users can access the developed webpage's points of interest from anywhere in the world, providing legitimate validation. The benefits of this project include cost savings, increased energy conservation, and reductions in labour and time requirements. The software and hardware required to carry out this project are ARDUINO IDE (using embedded C language).
