IOT Based design and implementation of home automation using Blynk application.

Alok Kumar

Abstract

The increasing advancement in communications technology has sparked significant interest in home automation systems. It concentrates on the evolution of an IOT-based prototype home automation system which is capable of remotely controlling various household components with the help of the internet anytime and anywhere, as well as being programmable to operate based on ambient conditions. This paper represents prototype design implementation and performance testing of Home Automation System of low cost, flexible, reliable, and wireless system. It typically involves connecting household devices, appliances, and systems to a central hub or network that can be accessed and controlled using smart phones, tablets, or computers. In this
project, we focus on designing firmware for smart control aimed at automating tasks, thereby reducing the need for human intervention, and ensuring the integrity of all electrical devices within the home by using Node MCU microcontroller and utilize a widely used open-source IOT platform to implement the automation process. A set of relays is employed to interface the Node
MCU with household device. The system is designed to be portable, assembled control box which is easily devoted to monitoring as well as controlling a real household. Users can control the connected devices and systems through a dedicated mobile app or a web interface. This interface provides options to monitor the status of devices, set schedules, create automation rules,
and receive alerts and notifications. Since the system is connected to the internet, users can remotely access and control their smart home devices from anywhere with an internet connection. This allows for flexibility and convenience, whether you're at work, on vacation, or simply away from home. This system is tailored to aid and support to meet the requirements of the elderly and disabled individuals within their homes. Additionally, the incorporation of smart home concepts enhances the quality of life and living standards.
