A Review on Quad Band Microstrip Antenna for GSM and GNSS Application

Bhargavi N. Fanat, Nimesh M. Prabhakar

Abstract

Micropstrip or patch antennas are also known as a printed antenna fabricated on printed circuit board (PCB). Microstrip antennas are low cost, have a low profile, low weight and are easily fabricated [1]. They are used atmicrowave frequencies. In this review paper, a survey on quad band operations in patch antenna papers, which have been used by authors for designing of low profile, small compatible patch antenna, have been presented. This paper presents a literature survey of different configurations of patch antenna techniques for improvement in gain of antenna and feed techniques. In this paper, we also discussed the basics of microstrip antenna, various feeding techniques, design equations, and antenna parameters
