Study on Wireless Power Transmission using Microwave Technique: Principle and Applications

Rosemol Varghese, Don Paul

Abstract

In this paper, a review about the concept of wireless power transmission is presented. Wireless power transmission means, the power is transmitted in the form of microwaves from one place to another, in order to reduce losses during the transmission and distribution of electrical power; and also to deliver energy in location where conventional wires are expensive, inconvenient or impossible. This is also known as microwave power transmission. We present the principle and technology of wireless power transmission (WPT) and its applications also.

Keywords
