Review Paper of Designing of CPW Fed Micro-strip Patch Antenna for UWB and Bluetooth Application
Abstract
A compact size coplanar waveguide (CPW)-fed micro strip antenna is proposed for radiation of the frequency spectrums 2.36 to 2.49 GHz (Bluetooth) and 3.1 to 10.6 GHz (UWB-Ultra wideband) covers. Both are unlicensed bands but in UWB band there are two licensed bands i.e. WLAN and Wi-MAX present in the frequency range of 5.12 to 5.825 GHz and 3.4 to 3.7 GHz respectively. In this design we have single CPW-fed micro-strip antenna for covering only unlicensed band and licensed band is rejected by using the notch or slot characteristics. The value of VSWR for this band is less than or equal to 2. And the value of reflection coefficient is –10 dB. For the small size feature, it is used for portable size of devices. It can work very well for short range high speed communication. The radiation pattern and gain characteristics are also simulated by HFSS simulator. All other parameters like impedance, bandwidth etc. of micro strip antenna are calculated by using An-soft HFSS.
