Abstract

Studies conducted on blending of polymers like acrylonitrile butadiene rubber (NBR) and polyvinylchloride (PVC) to produce new polymeric materials with specific properties which can be used for some special applications. This blend has been formulated for products working in contact with castor oils. Blends at different temperature indicate that an optimum temperature existes for its formation. Incorporating PVC in various compositions has enhanced their physico-mechanical and chemical properties of this blend.
