A Case Study: Diagnostic Testing of 16 MVA Power Transformer

In this study describes the industrial research of tan delta test of power transformer (16 MVA 33/11 kV). In diagnostic test measurement, we check the insulation quality of power transformer. Transformer insulation quality is tested by insulation resistance test, tan delta and dissipation factor testing. In this article, we discussed about transformer tan delta test and comparison of transformer tan delta test result of after and before overhauling process. This study also gives research about tan delta test setup, testing techniques with different types of modes and discussion of testing result.
