The global issues like fossil fuel burning and pollution created have become a headache for the whole world, and therefore the Electric Vehicles (EV) are getting high attention. This paper deals with the Ni-MH battery model for the EV applications. The model described in the paper is entirely dynamic. A test bench is created in the Matlab/Simulink® for the dynamic battery model. Few tests were conducted to prove the adaptability of the described model. The parametric variations like battery voltage variation, SOC variation, speed variation and armature current variation are given the due consideration while taking in to account the Ni-MH battery model. The reversible DC machine along with the constant load for discharging of the battery is included in the system.
