Analysis of Cylinder Head of CI Engine

Vishal Sapkal, Kamal Ukey

Abstract

The main aim of this work is to predict the look performance supported stress/strain and behavior of plate below numerous operational conditions. the results of varied engineering operational conditions like combustion gas most internal pressure, thermal stress behavior and fatigue stress of the plate are analyzed. In any operating engine, the piston and therefore the plate ar the foremost vulnerable members because of enhanced mechanical and thermal loadings. The mechanical loading is especially because of pressure within the instrument of execution and its magnitude may be judged in terms of peak pressure. Thermal loading is because of temperature and warmth transfer conditions within the piston surface cylinder liner and plate. The pure mathematics modeling was administrated victimisation common computer-aided engineering tools, CATIA V5R19 and therefore the analysis was administrated employing a finite part analysis (FEA) code package ANSYS. The result may be wont to verify the standard of style yet as establish areas that need any improvement, and additionally the most stresses is found not prodigious material strength of plate. during this work, we've additionally designed and compare 2 forms of cylinder heads and developed the importance of fins.

Keywords: Cylinder Head, Mechanical Load, Thermal Load, FEA, Fins.
