Advancement in Light Emitting Diode

Manoj Pawar, Dr. Tushar Pawar

Abstract

This paper discusses the advancements made in light-emitting diodes (LEDs) technology over the years. Whenever a current flows through an LED, the device produces light. The paper covers the basics of LED operation and the various types of LEDs, including organic LEDs (OLEDs). It then delves into the significant improvements that have been made in LED efficiency, brightness, and color rendering. These improvements have made LEDs more energy-efficient and cost-effective, making them an attractive alternative to traditional lighting sources. The article also addresses how LEDs might be used in lighting, displays, and medical equipment. Finally, the paper highlights the future prospects of LEDs and the areas where further research is required to enhance their performance and efficiency.
