Current status of reinforced thermal spray coatings to increase corrosion resistance of boiler tube steels
Abstract
Abstract
Thermal barrier coatings are one of the best techniques to protect the metal surface from erosion corrosion attach. Aluminium and nickel based alloys are extensively used as thermal barrier coated materials with various techniques such as HVOF, APS etc. The techniques for applying the coatings gain their importance in thermal spray which results to get a layer deposited without affecting the properties of substrate material. Thermal spray coatings have been used to reduce the corrosion of boiler tube steels. In this study, the attempt has been made to discuss various types of reinforced thermal spray coatings developed by various researchers in recent past.
