Application of Graphene in Health and Medical Areas

A comprehensive overview of the current state of graphene research in the health and biomedical field are presented here. The graphene and its derivatives hold immense potential for various applications in biotechnology, biomedicine, and bioengineering. The unique physicochemical properties of graphene, such as thermal conductivity and high-specific area, make it a promising material for advancements in drug delivery, bio-imaging, biosensors, and tissue engineering. However, there is an increasing anxiety surrounding the safety and biocompatibility of graphene. As the research on graphene grows, understanding the potential risks associated with its use in living organisms becomes crucial. Balancing the promising applications with thorough investigations into potential toxicological impacts is essential for responsible development in the field. We focus on discussing graphene synthetic strategies, functionalization, processibility protocols, and in vitro/in vivo applications provides a well rounded exploration of the material's journey from production to practical implementation. Addressing limitations and toxicological impacts is a responsible approach, ensuring that the transition of graphene materials into clinical tools is guided by a thorough understanding of potential risks and challenges. The need for new trends and guidelines for future developments demonstrates an awareness of the dynamic nature of scientific research and the importance of adapting to emerging knowledge. Continuous evaluation and refinement of guidelines are essential as the field progresses.References
