Importance and Need of Solar Photovoltaic Technology and Factors Affecting Efficiency

Seema Vishnoi, P. M. Meena

Abstract

Renewable energy is also called Green Energy. These energies are not exhausting and are constantly renewed. Renewal is very effective and necessary in the current situation, because as the number of people and technology increases, the demand for energy also increases. The use of solar energy research to reduce the energy crisis, protect the environment and ensure the most important economic development. Many factors affect its efficiency namely solar radiation, direct air around the cell called the local air temperature, cable density connected to the solar panel, falling wave photon wavelength, ambient temperature, Shading effect, direct repetition of holes and Electron, Radiation display, Types of inefficient invertors, Batteries and charger control used by solar cell panels. Any abnormalities or deviations from the reference level in relation to all these factors, limit the efficiency of solar photovoltaic cells. This research paper identifies important factors that affect the efficiency of photovoltaic cells. Improving these features will increase the efficiency of photovoltaic cells. Research shows a number of factors that can affect the efficiency of solar systems. Some of these factors have been studied to increase or decrease energy production from three types of inputs such as solar intensity, cloud cover, relative humidity, and thermal conductivity. When the sun is at its highest point, during the day, most of the sun's energy is collected; therefore, there is an increase in power output. Cloudy days contribute to the decline in solar collection performance since the clouds reflect some of the sun's rays and reduce the amount of absorption by the panels.
