RFID Based IoT Attendance System

Abstract


The RFID-based IoT attendance system is designed to streamline the attendance process in organizations by leveraging Radio Frequency Identification (RFID) technology. The system comprises an RFID reader, RFID tags, a buzzer, a microcontroller, and a server (Google Sheet). To use the system, each employee is assigned an RFID tag that they use to log in and out of work. When an employee swipes their tag, the RFID reader scans it and sends the data to the microcontroller. The microcontroller then transmits the data to the server (Google Sheet), which updates the attendance records. The project's objective is to automate attendance management, reduce errors, and increase efficiency. The system is user-friendly and eliminates the need for manual attendance tracking, resulting in increased efficiency. The attendance data is available in real-time, enabling managers to monitor attendance and promptly address discrepancies. Moreover, the system generates reports that can be utilized for payroll processing and other administrative tasks. Compared to conventional attendance tracking methods, the RFID based IoT attendance system offers various benefits such as higher accuracy, reduced errors, time-saving, and lower administrative costs. Hence, it is an efficient, reliable, and cost-effective solution for attendance tracking in organizations.
