Management of Domestic Water Closed Loop System
Abstract
The paper describes a new technological process to reuse, thermally and hydraulically, the water in
home installations. The aim of the process is to reduce water wasting and take advantage of residual
thermal energy to minimize energy expenditure. The system is especially developed for home
installations although it is also suitable for larger facilities. Filtering processes based on porous media
ensure the physical and chemical water quality while chlorination or disinfection by ultraviolet
radiation guarantees bacteriological quality. A closed loop avoids water losses in community ducts and
allows recovering thermal energy of residual water.
