Abstract

Due to population growth, usages of plastic material are increasing day-by-day, most of the plastic material are dumped a landfill and they are not effectively reused in most of the application. Numerous researches in most were carried out using waste rubber in pavement construction. The degradation rate of plastic is also very slow process. It is found that the plastic is a very good binder for aggregate in pavement. Recycling of a plastic waste requires lots of manpower whereas only some amount of plastic can be recycled and some of the part of plastic is dumped in dumping site or incinerated. Thus, we replace cement with waste plastic in Paver block and it reduce the cost of the project. The replacement of cement with the waste plastic obtained from the melting of waste plastic bags and bottles. The suitability of recycled plastic with cement in Paver block to study effect on compressive strength, modulus of elasticity, split tensile strength and flexural strength properties.
