Cost Escalation, Schedule Overruns and Quality Shortfalls on Construction Projects

Abstract

Despite being a subject of discussion for over four decades, cost escalation and schedule overruns in quality shortfalls still persists as a challenge for construction projects. The present study was carried out to identify and rank the causal factors of cost escalation, schedule overrun and quality shortfalls in construction projects. Likert scale (range 1–4) was used for the ranking the causal factors.
