Abstract

The ever-growing demand in the market for the high data rate and high spectral efficiency increases the need to use the available band of
spectrum more efficiently. The future is dependent on using the frequency bands more efficiently. The most recent and trending 5G technology
uses the mm Wave band for its transmission. This band in the 60 GHz frequency uses MIMO systems along with many other leading
technologies or methodologies like hybrid beam forming, OFDM etc. This paper is mainly focused on one of those technologies which is called
Hybrid Beam forming and its optimization using the Kalman’s test. This paper's primary significance is i) the proposal of an integrated beam
generating implementation that utilises MIMO. ii)To analyze its performance and to optimize it using Kalman’s test. iii) To observe the
performance upon changing various system parameters and analyze the results. Analog only beam forming will be having low spectral
efficiency and high-power consumption whereas if we consider fully digital beam forming, we will be having computational complexities.
Hybrid Beam forming is a promising technique to overcome the above-mentioned complexities and it is also very reliable in multiuser
scenarios.
