Abstract

This research work proposes a novel approach for fault detection in transmission lines using IoT (Internet of Things) technology. The proposed system consists of sensors deployed along the transmission lines to monitor the line parameters such as voltage, current, and temperature. These sensors capture data, which is then sent to a cloud-based platform. The system is designed to detect and locate faults such as line breakages, short circuits, and overloads in real-time. The suggested method has a number of benefits, including increased problem detection precision, less downtime, and increased system dependability. The results of the study demonstrate the effectiveness of the proposed system in fault detection and localization, making it a promising solution for the power transmission industry.
