Diamond coating technology is used to deposit a uniform layer of diamond on almost any type of material ranging from glass and plastic to metals. The process involves utilizing atmospheric carbon dioxide as the carbon source and exposing it to a series of laser beams. With the ease of applying paint on a brush, this laser-assisted process produces pure diamond and bonds it to a material's surface. This study examines the main characteristics of diamond coatings, their benefits, and drawbacks, as well as current developments and potential applications, by a thorough analysis of the literature. Through a comprehensive analysis of extant literature and case studies, this study seeks to provide significant perspectives on the application of diamond coatings to attain elevated levels of accuracy, efficiency, and quality in manufacturing processes. This review examines the benefits, applications, and advancements in diamond coating processing in a range of engineering domains.
